Ongoing Bluetooth connection issue – Forerunner 255s (v27.09 / Connect 5.22)

Another frustrated user here.

I am using Garmin Connect version 5.22 and software version 27.09 on my Forerunner 255s. Since the update, my phone no longer detects the watch via Bluetooth.

I have tried all troubleshooting steps mentioned across multiple forum threads, including:

  • Restarting both devices

  • Removing and re-pairing the watch

  • Reinstalling Garmin Connect

  • Resetting network/Bluetooth settings

Nothing works.

This issue has been ongoing for quite some time now, and there are numerous reports from other users experiencing the same problem. At this point, it clearly appears to be a software-related bug.

What is Garmin’s official position on this?
Is this actively being worked on, and can we expect a fix soon?

It’s extremely disappointing that such a fundamental feature — Bluetooth connectivity — remains broken for so long.

I would appreciate a clear update from Garmin.
