Zwift and Garmin

Hi - I use polar Hr for Zwift also.  Same as you, I do not start activity from watch, Zwift connects to my bike and polar hr.  What I read online and what worked for me was to broadcast HR from watch during my ride.  At end of ride, Zwift uploads to Garmin, I stop watch from broadcasting, then I sync from watch.  This fixed my intensity minutes…etc from not showing up in garmin app.  Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply  I did two rides today putting hr on broadcast.

• Connecting to Zwift as usual with Polar hr strap. It seems to work.But why broadcast Forerunner hrr? It's not connected to Zwift.

Training readiness, Acute Load and Recovery changed. Excercise Load shows only yesterday when I did start an activity on the Forerunner 265s.Do you recognize that?

I am not sure why folks said to use broadcast other than a way to possibly get watch to be in exercise mode for HR monitoring so the stats import.  I also think I tried using indoor cycle activity on watch then deleting the activity so I did not get doubling of stats which if I recall worked as well. I found it easier to just broadcast HR which I assigned to shortcut button on watch.

I honestly don’t know how or why it works but I have been using this method for about a year with no issues.

i do get exercise load stats from my Zwift cycling activities if that is what you are asking.

I had hr broadcast on today and a 35 day cycling streak on Zwift.

Hi - Did you make sure the HR broadcast stayed on?  At least on mine, it seems to start then shutoff until I get Zwift up and going, no idea why.  Seems it takes a couple starts before it stays broadcasting.  Once it is on I do not mess with it.  Just a thought, but something I have seen.  If it was on entire time then I have no idea since mine always pushes that data.

I believe it stayed on because after the sprint finish I first saved the ride and then switched off the hr broadcast (red square).

I'll tell you what happens after my next ride.
