Me: Edge 1050, iPhone XS, iOS 18.7.4, Connect 5.21.2.2 first installed January 2026
My girlfriend: Edge 1030+, iPhone 13, iOS 26, Connect 5.21.2.2 first installed November 2023.
When enabling Bike Alarm, if tripped, it should send the user an audible notification. It does not. When you arm, and trip the alarm, you get a silent banner notification. In Settings->Notifications->Connect there should be an option for sound. There is not.
Talking with other Garmin Edge users, they DO have the sound toggle in notifications, and they do get an audible notification when bike alarm is triggered. I have checked every privacy setting. Background app refresh is on, all available notifications are on, the phones are NOT in a focus mode when testing, vibrate mode (Physical button on the side of the phone) is not engaged. I DO get audible alerts from other apps, for example, my LG washer and dryer send an audible alert when a cycle I’d complete, and of course Messages and Messenger send audible alerts for a new message.
I’ve reported this to Garmin support, but they’ve not been able to provide any solutions. I’m wondering if anyone here has encountered this and been able to solve it.
