Add a dead-hang exercise

I've faced the the problem as this topic's author. I'd want to understand if there is some process to ask for a new exercise to be added in the garmin database?
And is it normal that a topic with a request to add a missing exercise is open for a 3 year without any response from garmin

Why there is no “dead hang exercise” in workout section,

Thanks for your help

Yes, use theShare Ideas site to submit your request.

Old topics can be closed, and this used to happen more frequently. Recently, Garmin has been more responsive to forum posts. In this case, they’d likely direct you to the Share Ideas site to submit your request to their innovations team. If enough people submit similar requests, there’s a greater chance they’ll add the specific exercise you want. I just did for the "Dead Hang."

As a workaround for “Dead Hang,” you could use the “Bar Holds” exercise. Set the target type to either Time or Lap Button Press and add a note like “This step = Dead Hang (straight-arm passive hang).”

  • I also would like to log my dead hangs appropriately in Connect. I've submitted my request to add "Dead Hang" as one of the Exercise Name options, using the link provided by  . Hopefully we see it added!

Comment:  The dead hang is a common and certainly beneficial exercise. Garmin has number of other types of dead hang exercises in its list, but not this most fundamental, beginning (though not easy) form.

  • What "other types of dead hang exercises" does Garmin have listed? There are none, which is the problem.
