Birthdate greyed out - watch and Garmin Connect iOS

Hi there,

Just realized the birthdate on my watch and on Garmin connect is greyed out. 

If I remember correctly, it happened after the 20.19 on my Enduro 3 or the latest Garmin Connect update.

I can only update the birthdate on Garmin Connect (web).

Is this something expected or a bug?

Could someone please help me out?

    I see that as well. My guess is that you should only change your birthday from the Garmin Connect settings and not from the watch settings.

    More > Settings > User Settings > Birthdate

    Thanks for answering.

    When I go to more > settings > User Settings > Birthdate - I can change the birthdate.

    However, when I go to more > Garmin devices > select your Device > User Profile - I see birthdate greyed out.

    I am wondering this is a bug…

    This is to ensure your personal data stays consistent across all devices.

    Dear seilogramp, thanks for answering. This makes complete sense, though. However, it is strange because my wife's watch (Venu 3s) allows her to edit the field. I know it is a different OS version.

    Additionally, this may be a recent change, as I do not recall seeing it in previous versions.
