Details showing on watch but not in app

Bought a new Forerunner 55 after my 45 died a death but can't get the data to transfer over to the app. I've rebooted and repaired, cleared cache, restarted watch and nothing. Al this data shows on the watch itself.

  • Is it syncing ok? Do you see the logged activities being synced to the app?

Remove the watch from Garmin Connect, remove it from bluetooth devices, put it in pairing mode and then add it again to Garmin Connect.

    • This is happening to me with my swim 2, i’ve disconnected it and re connected and deleted the app etc but nothing works. the body battery and heart rate etc show on the watch face itself so it’s not an issue with the recording of the data but rather the syncing to the app, I’m not sure what to do

  • I've shared my experience on another forum, but read your post and felt your frustration. This is what I sent--

"Merry Christmas:) After doing the latest IOS 26.2 update, I've being having little luck syncing my health date, steps, sleep, etc from my Venu 2s to the Garmin Connect app on my iPhone 13. The watch shows my heartbeat in real time, but I can only access the information on my watch and not in Garmin Connect. I've tried all the old fixes of turning on/off both devices...factory resets, etc. I had a long sessions with Apple Support who walked me through all the possible problem areas on the iPhone but everything is working at the Apple end. I then chatted with Chat GPT but ended with "Garmin Connect does not appear under Motion & Fitness, so it cannot request permission and no data syncs. Reinstalling the app does not trigger the permissions prompt. This appears to be a Motion & Fitness entitlement / privacy database issue in IOS". The techs at Apple disagreed. So, I'm stuck. An help would be appreciated. Cheers! Kev"

Hopefully, you'll find a solution to your problem. Kev
