iOS 26: Garmin Connect not syncing steps to Apple Health

I updated to iOS 26 last night on my iPhone 16. Since then, Garmin Connect is no longer syncing steps or sleep to Apple Health but it did sync a workout. I've tried restarting, deleting both apps and reinstalling, disconnecting and reconnecting both apps, re pairing the watch, nothing is working.

  • I am having the same issue and Garmin support keeps saying it is the watch since it also will not sync all activity to computer. Funny how all this  started after os26 update and Garmin tells me I on my own as they do not provide support or the device, only the app!!!!face with symbols on mouth  Supports only suggestion was to manually enter the data daily. But that is the whole point of having the Garmin device. Frustrating!!!

  • I also have the same issue since I am on iOS26. My IOS version is 26.2 (23C52). When will this be fixed ? Invested so much in Garmin devices and can't get a simple service working ?!?

  • I have the same issue - my phone is on iOS 26.2c and Apple Health is not showing Garmin Connect as Source. How can I fix this ?

  • Ask Apple.
I'm on iOS 26 (26.1 to be exact) and all my data from GC are transferred to Apple Health without any problem.
BTW, 26.2 is still release candidate, I would say, wait for final release and then report issues.

  • Since this awful iOS update my Garmin watch no longer notifies me of anything from my phone except incoming calls. No texts, no calendar, no alarms.

Yes, I have the latest Garmin connect update.

my iPhone also stops making calls. I get “call failed” and nail I restart my phone.
