Cycling/Bike Activity - Heart Rate Zone not displayed / Empty

I updated my heart rate zones for cycling in the Garmin Connect app on iPhone. The new zone settings are correctly visible both in the mobile app and in the Garmin Connect web app. I’ve attached screenshots of:

  • My updated zone settings (from iPhone and web)

  • The devices I am using

After completing a ride today, I checked my heart rate zone distribution. The analysis shows zero time in Zone 2 and puts all that time into Zone 1 instead. So basically it is saying it didnt detect heart rate range from 105-117.

However, when I open the detailed heart rate chart, you can clearly see that there are data points that fall into Zone 2. The same discrepancy is visible on the Garmin Connect web app.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Update heart rate zones in Garmin Connect (iPhone).

  2. Sync devices and verify new zones appear correctly in both mobile and web app.

  3. Complete an activity with heart rate data that should fall into Zone 2.

  4. View the activity’s zone summary → Zone 2 shows empty.

  5. Compare with the heart rate chart → data points clearly exist in Zone 2.

  6. Checked Web Garmin connect, same results
  7. Uploaded GPX to GPX Studio and it shows data points from the missing range

Expected Result:
Time in Zone 2 should be correctly calculated and displayed in the heart rate zone summary.

Actual Result:
Zone 2 time is shown as empty, despite charted HR data clearly being in Zone 2.

Devices & Apps:

  • Garmin Connect iPhone app (latest version 5.17.1.1)

  • Garmin Connect Web

  • Garmin Edge 840 24.56

  • Garmin Fenix 6 Pro (not used for tracking this activity)

Attachments:

  • Screenshots of updated zones (iPhone & web)

  • Screenshot of activity heart rate zones (showing Zone 2 empty) (iphone & web)

  • Screenshot of HR chart (showing data points in Zone 2) (iphone & web)

  • Photos of devices used

Does anyone know how this happened and what to do about it?

tnx

Luka
