One of Emergency Contacts Did Not Receive LiveTrack Beacon

I have three (3) emergency contacts programmed in to my Garmin Connect Mobile app. On a ride yesterday, only 2 of the 3 emergency contacts received my LiveTrack beacon. How do I begin to troubleshoot why the 3rd emergency contact did not receive my LiveTrack beacon?

    Hello trux, thank you for continuing to engage with this thread and trying to help me...much appreciated. I am using Garmin LiveTrack. 

    At the risk of confusing things as I try and explain this...

    I how have all 3 people I want to receive my LiveTrack link (when I am out for rides) to my beacon 'Contacts' in Strava. The person who did not receive my LiveTrack link in my previous ride was not listed as a beacon 'Contact' in Strava. Now they are. 

    On my Garmin Edge 1040, when I go to Settings->Satety& Tracking->LiveTrack->Recipients, 'Strava Beacon' is toggled on. I am assuming this will fix my issue. What do you think?

    This I am aware of (i.e., Garmin Connect Live Event Sharing), but that's not what I'm concerned about. I simply want the three people I have listed as 'Emergency Contact' to also receive my Garmin LiveTrack link when I go out for rides so they can see where I am and keep their eye on me.

    In that case you have to add all three contacts to the LiveTrack recipient list. Emergency contacts do not serve for LiveTrack, they are used for the Incident Detection, which is an unrelated feature.

    I do not have the Strava Beacon option for LiveTrack recipients on any of my devices, but if you have it enabled, then of course, the recipient list from Strava will be used, and all desired contacts have to be listed there.

    Hello again, Trux. You have been most helpful. Thank you. My Edge 1040 is configured to use the Strava Beacon by default. I don't remember setting that up, but I won't mess with it. I now have all 3 people I want to receive my LiveTrack link (when I am out for rides) in my beacon 'Contacts' list in Strava. This should work now. I will be going out for a ride tomorrow and will be able to test it out. I will update this post with what I discover.
