training status not updating but cycling activities are syncing

my training status has not updated since 11th May even though my rides are syncing from my Edge and recording on my Garmin connect. Do I need to do a software update on my Edge

Do you have a power meter on your bike? That is required in order to get a cycling VO2 max.
