Fenix 6 PRO not syncing to the Garmin app on my Apple phone

I have had my Garmin Fenix 6PRO since 2020 and it would sync to my phone no problem for years.  Over this past year it has had issues.  it would take a week before it would sync.  Now it won't sync at all.  i have turned off and on everything, my phone, my watch, Bluetooth, etc.  No luck.

I read where I can delete the app but it warns me that my data would be deleted from the app so I have not tried this.

    Your data remains in the cloud regardless. Both Garmin Connect Web, and the Garmin Connect mobile app access the same database. If you delete the app then reinstall, just make sure you log in with the same credentials that you've been using, don't create a new account.

    • Also, "forget" the Fenix 6 in the Bluetooth settings on your phone
    • Remove the Fenix 6 from Garmin Devices in the app
    • Uninstall the app
    • Restart the phone and the watch
    • Install the Garmin Connect app - login with your original credentials.
    • Place the Fenix 6 in Bluetooth pairing mode
    • Add the watch using the Garmin Connect app

    i deleted and reinstalled the app.  it still doesn't connect to my watch.  i turned everything off and on again.  Could there be something wrong with my watch?

    Did you follow all the steps?

    If still no joy, contact Garmin Support directly. It's likely they'll have you reset your watch to factory defaults.
