Body Battery not in ‘At a Glance"

I own an Garmin Instinct 3 Solar 50mm.
For some reason, I cannot add Body Battery in ‘At a Glance’ as it is also not in the ‘Add a Stat’ list.

In the connect app, from ‘Calender’, when I click on a day/date, ‘Body Battery’ is also not showing in the list.
Under Calendar, if I click the three dots at the top-right, I see ‘Filter Calendar’, here everything is ticked (including Body Battery).
I would like to see ‘Body Battery’ in the overview of ‘In Focus’.

Could this perhaps be a bug in the application?

Does anyone perhaps had/have the same experience?

Thank you for your feedback!

  • It might be easier to add the Body Battery using Garmin Connect Web as it mirrors the iOS app.

I currently have Body Battery in the "at a glance" section of the home screen. If you click on "edit home," then "edit at a glance," you should be able to add/remove body battery. You will also see all of the stats you've added currently, including the 8 allowed on the home screen, plus those listed as "other stats you want to keep tabs on." You have a limit of 20 stats for the "at a glance section." You might need to drag body battery to the top, so it is one of the 8 stats viewable on the home screen. There are 6 stats allowed for "In Focus."

If things have gotten out of control, you could also reset your home screen to the default settings - Edit Home » Reset Home » select "Be healthy" or "Stay Active" as these have body battery already configured on the home screen, In Focus section.

I would like to see ‘Body Battery’ in the overview of ‘In Focus’.

As for the overview, I would make sure you have body battery listed first.

  • Thanks for your reply. I connected my watch to my computer and tried everything exactly as you described. Unfortunately, this did not help.

    I see the following in the Connect App;

    • Body battery is not listed in ‘Health Stats.’
    • Body battery is not listed in ‘Add a Stat’, therefore I cannot add the ‘Body battery’. If ‘Body battery’ was in the ‘Add a Stat’ list, it might have worked.

Body battery does appear on my watch. From my watch, I can read my Body battery.
It would be handy if I could read it from the Connect app, though.

    I also tried the following;

    • I uninstalled the Connect app and reinstalled it on my iPhone. This did not help.
    • I also reset the Watch and this did not help either.
    • On my second iPhone, I installed Connect app and connected my watch. This did not help either.

I really wouldn't know what the problem is. My last option is, send the watch back to Garmin.

    Any feedback / solution please?

  • I connected my watch to my computer and tried everything exactly as you described.

Not necessary to connect your watch to the computer, but your device does need to be setup to work with it and be listed under devices. Using Garmin Connect Web is just a different way of configuring the app, as it mirrors the app.

Body battery is not listed in ‘Health Stats.’

The only way I can think that it wouldn't exist is that you don't have a compatible watch configured in Garmin Connect Web.

If you click the watch icon in the top/right corner, the dropdown should show your devices. What do you see? Post a screenshot.

In my case I have Epix as my primary wearable and I have body battery as a stat.

  • This is what I see when connecting the watch to my computer.

  • Hi Trux, The body-battery page is empty.

  • I think I have solved the problem.
We all wear Garmin watches at home. I connected my wife's watch to the computer and started ‘Garmin Express’.
I started "Garmin Connect" and added my wife's watch to my account.
Under the profile of my wife's watch, I clicked on menu ‘Health Stats’ and then on ‘Body Battery’. The Body battery is displayed.
Then I disconnected my wife's watch from the computer and connected my own watch to the computer.
Under my profile, I clicked on ‘Body Battery’ and it also displayed.
Body Battery is now also displayed on my iPhone.

Problem solved for now. Let's see tomorrow if my Body battery will be captured.

Thank you all for your feedback and tips.

  • That was going to be my next suggestion, making sure there wasn't an account mix-up. Glad it's working for you now.Thumbsup
