April intense cardio doesn’t count cardio minutes

When doing a cardio activity, you want to end up in heart rate zones above Zone 3, so why do zone 4 and 5 not count towards the cardio challenge? It seems like a bug to me that you have to do a cardio workout without doing proper cardio to achieve the challenge.

  • I did 55 minutes of intense cardio and earned 7 minutes toward the badge?!?! I think the issue is that this badge should be zone 3 and above instead of making us keep it at zone 3 because there's no way to monitor that very well as we are doing the cardio workout.

Unless you are an experienced athlete, and know exactly what you do and why, then staying in the zone 3 is much healthier and safer for an average bloke. And the majority of users are just that. By staying above the HR Zone 3 you can do more harm than good. And since one of the main goals of the badges is to stimulate you to a healthy living style, and to improve your fitness, I am persuaded that the requirement to stay in the HR zone 3 was an intentional and a wise choice.
