Load Focus not calculating Low Aerobic correctly for mixed trainings

I have been wondering why my Low Aerobic load focus is always so low (I have a Garmin Forerunner 945)

I have been keeping notes on exercise loads for some time, and noticed the following: The Low Aerobic load focus is increased ONLY if the whole activity is run in Zone2. If I run even a little bit in Zone3 the whole activity load is added to High Aerobic.

This does not happen for Anaerobic, i.e. if I run some of the activity in Zone4 and higher the Anaerobic load focus is updated with the anerobic quota

  • Adding some screenshots to show the problem:

This is my Load focus before the activity of today (10 April 2025) (Anaerobic 128, HighAerobic 2665 LowAerobic 615)

Then I go out and run, and these are the stats for the single activity (39% in Zone2, Primary benefit threshold, Excercise load 180)

And this is the load focus after the activity (Anaerobic 128, High Aerobic 2843, Low Aerobic 615)

It shows that the full excercise load (180) was added to the High Aerobic (2843 approx equal to 2665 + 180 = 2845)

Nothing was added to the Low Aerobic, even though 39% of the activity was in Zone2

Is this by design? It doesnt seem right to me, and it has a significant impact on the load balancing metric
