Manually record body fat percentage

I know Garmin are forcing user to purchase their scale, which makes no sense to me since I already got one.

And it also made me feel bad about this brand, I just spent $1k for a Fenix 8, found everything was great, but then Garmin is telling me that I need to spend another $150 for their scale, otherwise I can never get the accurate data about my body consumption. This is a rip-off! They can easily make a manual input accessible in Garmin Connect, but they choose not to, ONLY because it will impact the sales of the Index S2.

If there's no change in the future, I'm pretty sure it will be my last Gamin watch.

*I know some users are doing this via a .CSV data import, I tried, but it still makes no sense, things shouldn't be that complicated, we all know there's a simple solution.

My bmi is 22.1, but fat percentage is 12%. And garmin connect keeps telling me to reduce bmi to lower my fitness age. Does it mean I should stop workout and eat less to reach that goal? Cos I also have too much muscle according to garmin’s advice. This is nonsense.

Currently your only options are either importing the Body FAT with a simple CSV file, or using Garmin Index scale, or using a 3rd party scale syncing the data to Garmin Connect over MyFitnessPal, or using another 3rd party tool for syncing the data. For anything beyond that, I recommend suggesting it to Garmin at Share Ideas | Garmin

Thank you Trux, I tried importing CSV before. But just think that allowing users to record fat percentage manually should be something essential. The way Garmin preventing us to track it easily without their index scale, just makes people think that Garmin just wanna sell more index scale by making rules that’s unfair to the users.
