EDGE 810 failing to be discovered via bluetooth

My latest ride wouldn't upload to my garmin connect so I updated the app, updated the edge device, I "forgot" the device on the phone and forgot the phone on the device.  Now I'm trying to reconnect the device to the phone but it never shows up in the list of discoverable devices.  I've tried to turn off all and restart the devices then turn on all but that didn't work either.  Any other ideas to try?  I have the latest software on all devices.
