How can I get my iphone to auto sync with garmin connect app? I have to manually sync every day. I never had this issue with Samsung phone.

At least once a day I'll look at the watch and where the temperature reading is on the screen will just be a dash showing no data. When I open up the garmin connect app on my phone, there is a dialogue box that says sync your device. When I had a Samsung phone this never happened. Is there a setting I can change to automatically sync this or are there compatibility issues with ios that don't exist with android? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Are you closing Garmin Connect on your mobile or just sending to work background?
To have constant weather data you need to enable on your phone GPS constant access for Garmin Connect.

All is described in manual.

Excellent, thank you. Following your advice, I went into phone permissions and selected "always" for location instead of "only while using the app". I appreciate your help.

Ok, this worked for a day and a half. Then back to the dash showing no weather data on the home screen of the watch. Just FYI it's a Garmin Forerunner 245M if that makes any difference.

Do you allow background data? Also, never close the app. Just leave it and switch to other apps.

Background app refresh and cellular data switched ON as well as Bluetooth.
