Mystery Bluetooth device pairing request

Hi All,

I don't even know how to start this issue I'm experiencing....but essentially an unwanted device, "Hanan's Pixel Buds Pro 2," keep requesting to pair to my phone and I've traced the origin to my Garmin Connect app. Firstly, I don’t know why the device is titled 'hanan's pixed bud pro 2' and secondly, I can't figure out why it's happening via the Garmin app. I'm scared to press 'pair' bc it could be malware or something bad. I've tried deleting the app, changing my password, etc etc and I can't find a solution.

Also, the device is showing as already paired to my phone which makes me very nervous, and I can't delete it with the 'i' button that normally appears next to connected devices.

I know previous threads are about this, but they seem to be connected to other garmin devices vs a random other brand like I've mentioned.

Desperate for help!

  • I have the exact same problem starting this week but the device is Accentum TW. The app is unusable because of if I hit cancel it constantly pops up. Only way to get rid of it is turning off Bluetooth permission for the app or off for the device.

  • I have been able to isolate the issue. Some code problem with Garmin device. My Fenix 7 is the device trying to connect but it has the wrong device name. Someone’s lookup table or hardcoded device name might be off.

  • This just started happening to me. Did you ever get this resolved?

  • I’m having the same issue except it’s “Siulam’s Pixel Buds Pro 2”. Did you ever get this resolved?

  • same issue here. It just happened out of nowhere. I picked up a rental car in europe and I was trying to connect my phone to it, somehow that triggered this and now it won't stop ever. I also lost connection to garmin app from my watch

  • I talked to support and they said to remove my garmin from the app, restart my phone, then add the watch back and it fixed the issue. Good luck!

  • That didn’t work for me but I will try again.

  • I encountered exactly the same problem with my Garmin S70. When I turned on the Garmin Connect app on my iPhone 15, notification keep popping up asking to pair a device called "Edifier Lolli 3" which I totally have no idea what it's.  The only way to stop this notification was by turning off the Bluetooth. But this make Connect app useless as it can't connect to S70 watch.  Very frustrated with this.

Tried delete and reinstall the Connect app, didn't work to resolve this issue.

  • I encountered similar issue on my Garmin S70.  Once I use the Garmin Connect app on my iPhone 15, the notification keeps popping up asking to pair with an unknown device call "Edifier Lolli 3".  Tried delete and re-install the Connect app but didn't help.

This notification only stops if I turned off the Bluetooth but that make the Connect app useless and it can't connect to S70 watch.

Garmin team, please quickly resolve this annoying issue.
