I would like to kindly ask you to explain logic behind Garmin Run Coach - new algorithm which was introduced few months ago.
So far I've used Garmin Coach set plans for 10k and Half-Marathon with Coaches Greg & Amy and was extremely satisfied with them - both helped me in achieving goals, trainings were tough but definitely worth doing.
Few weeks ago I signed up for Rome Marathon 2025 on 16th March. This will be my first marathon, with quite challenging time limit for me (3:45:00 vs my last half-marathon 1:43:00), thus I would like to prepare as much as I can. Based on my past experience with Garmin Coach, I started marathon training plan with new Garmin Run Coach. Today it's week 7 out of 18 of my preparation. In first half of December I had a flu and wasn't in best condition and I really appreciated how Garmin Run Coach adapted plan for me to recover and come back on track step by step. However since last week, when my heart rate / HRV / body battery / training readiness are looking very good, I noticed already twice that plan is changing (to less demanding trainings), for instance: for today I had scheduled (when checking yesterday in the evening) tempo run training (warm up, 3x10min@4:30, cool down) - I woke up in the morning after good sleep, again very high training readiness, good HRV & heart rate, body battery 99 - but yet the training changed to "regeneration" (28min@6:30) and tempo run was moved for tomorrow (warm up, 28min@4:45, cool down). In this case I completely don't understand why today's plan was adjusted and started to question if Garmin Run Coach can really prepare me to achieve my marathon goal, but on the other hand I really want to trust the process - thus looking forward to hearing more details about logic behind new algorithm.
I have also side comment: I noticed that when setting up plan it's written: 4-7 trainings per week , whereas on next step I was forced to choose at least 5 training days per week, which means I can't have less then 5 trainings per week (I managing it, but based on my experience with Coach Greg&Amy, it seems quite demanding). Perhaps anyone knows how to change it?
