Climbing floors

Hello everyone.

I have a ForeRunner 255 Music.

If I climb up from ground floor to 4th floor, I suppose that I climb 3 floors. No ?
But my watch gives me the result "2 floors climbed".

I have set up the GPS (outside).
And there is no difference...

May I ask another question here or post at a different place ?
If I walk inside a flat, do I have to select / choose "Inside walking" or "walking" please ?
Sometimes, the time resulting to those climbing is "00:00".

What should I do please ?

2-3 floors sounds correct for climbing the 3 stairs. It depends on the height of the floors and the air pressure. The watch is looking for 10 feet of ascent while your are taking steps. Changes in air pressure will affect the elevation measurements.

Depends where you are. In many countries, the ground floor is the floor N°0, so climbing to the 4th floor actually means climbing 4 floors

In that page, they explain what to do to calibrate the GPS but not the air pressure.

I will follow the procedure / instructions.

Hi Trux !

I have ground 0 plus 4 floors.
And only 3 are taken into account.

The article says "Warm up first" (inside or outside ?) and "Climb regurlarly, one step per one step" and "Do not look at the watch".
I had never followed step 1 and 3, so, maybe... That is the problem !

I got out of my flat.
I settled (right verb ?) the "pression at sea level" (1013 hPa, I think) and other parameters and now it is working fine !

I have done a "floor climb" : 4 floors in 02:?? (my iPhone screen has a bug).
And also and "inside walk" (also climbing stairs or floors) : it also works.
