I logged a ticket today and got following reply;

Updated IOS to 18.2 and now I cannot connect the Edge 1040 at all!
After numerous attempts I managed to connect and sync .... still in Chinese!

Same, Mine was in English but I've try to do a reset due to my Edge had issue lockup after AutoSleep for over a day and add my Edge 1040 back and my Garmin Connect display in Chinese after that. My Fenix 6X landing page is in English but my Edge 1040 are in Chinese.

I'm sure the solution has been posted on this forum already but I don't see it linked from this thread.
The solution is to change the language of Garmin Connect through the iOS settings on your iPhone. For iOS 18:
1. Open Settings -> Apps -> Garmin Connect -> Language (in the bottom). Change it to Spanish, for instance.
2. Open Connect. The entire app should now be Spanish, with the exception of the device page, which should be English.
3. Open Settings again, change language to initial language. All of Connect should now have the right language.
Works only temporarily. Next sync it goes back to Chinese
It doesn’t work actually. If you had few device like me.
an edge 1040 and a fenix 6x. If I change my device to Chinese, my edge 1040 landing page will be in English but my fenix 6x landing page will be in Chinese now.
