Should Garmin coach synch across all devices?

I have setup a Garmin coach cycling training plan using Connect.

it shows up on my Edge 1050 and I follow the recommendations.

It does not show up in my Fenix 5xPlus Garmin coach widget?

should it?

I have the exact same issue, but with an edge 540 and vívoactive 5. The watch just tells my to "sync with Garmin connect for next workout"

The widget in the watch just says "no plan"

And when I enter it just says. "sync with Garmin connect for next workout"

On the edge there is no problem, it syncs and updates without delay or any hiccups.
