Swim Workout drill type none shows Kick on watch

Hi there,

I set up a Workout that on Web Garmin Connect. Drill Type is none and stroke type is freestyle.

On My FR 965 it shows as KICK, not sure why this is happning.

I have tried creating the workout from the app and from the web but when it syncs, it shows the session as Kick.

Hey Garmin,
also on my FR 955 it shows KICK in nearly every session although I haven't set that.
Doesn't matter if I have made the training via web or the app.
Please help!

Following up.

Garmin Support replied this had already been reported a couple of months ago, but may take some time to resolve.

Individual users can contact Garmin Support to be added to the case—the more the better to get it resolved quicker. There wasn’t a specific case identifier reference provided, but a link to this thread might be a way for support to tie it all out as related.

WORKAROUND FOUND (in my case):

My profile was synchronised with TrainingPeaks (Garmin to TrainingPeaks and TrainingPeaks to Garmin). Although I haven’t made the trainings in TrainingPeaks it messed it up somehow.

I have dismissed the synchronisation FROM TrainingPeaks TO Garmin and made the Workouts in the App new. After that the workouts didn’t show “kick” and worked fine. The synchronisation from Garmin to TrainingPeaks is still active and my workouts are still visible in TrainingPeaks. For me, that’s all I need.
