Garmin Vivo active 5

I recently purchased a vivo active 5 and the last couple of weeks it keeps disconnecting from my phone for no apparent reason, I have had to reset the watch to factory settings, removed the app from my phone disconnected the Bluetooth etc etc and again today it's disconnected itself again. This is extremely frustrating because I lost yesterday's readings and have done so in the past too if it continues I will have to take the watch back it's a shame because it's a good bit of kit when it works but at the moment it's not working most of the time! I would expect more considering I paid over two hundred pounds for it in fact the very basic Fitbit had better connectivity and that cost less than fifty pounds.

  • Disconnect as in that you have to add it to bluetooth devices again or disconnects as in it is just isn't connected to Garmin Connect?

    Note that the app Garmin Connect always must be running and always be allowed to use background data. So, never force close the app. Just leave it.
