Sleep score/stages should be recalculated after editing sleep times in Connect

Garmin should recalculate sleep stages after editing the sleep times in Garmin Connect.

Sometimes I wake up in the early morning and fall back asleep. More often than not, Garmin will stop recording my sleep after the initial wake time. Later, I will edit my sleep times in Connect to get a more accurate duration and score. Editing the wake time will slightly increase the night's Sleep Score because the duration has increased, however, any additional time added to the night of sleep is simply added as "Light Sleep" without accounting for different sleep stages. Since Garmin also incorporates sleep stages into the Sleep Score calculation, this leads to an artificially low sleep score.

I don't understand why this data isn't included because the watch has collected all the data from that time and it should be able to retroactively apply the same calculations to determine sleep stages. This makes editing your sleep times much less useful since the data is incomplete anyway. Is there something I'm overlooking here?

Example: I woke initially at 5:30am and went back to sleep until 8:30am. Times edited in Connect later that morning.

  • I've noticed the same thing. It's frustrating. I love my Garmin, but I find this -- and a few other quirks -- frustrating. My Withings and Fitbit devices will recalculate sleep stages if I later edit the end sleep time.

  • Agreed!

@Garmin, please concidere update the feature !
I just bought a Fenix 8 Pro for more than 1k€, I'd better hope you guys gonna improve this feature. Cuz I see a lot of people are disapointed in the sleeping mode lake of correct detections.

Please add this to your development roadmap!
