I have a fenix 5 and its suddenly stopped syncing with my phone. the watch is connected but just wont accept the activity?

I've tried call garmin and still waiting on a call back!!

i have a Garmin Fenix 5 and it has stopped syncing with my phone, howevr it is connected by bluetooth!!

i've reset my phone and watch. i've removed app and reinstated i just cant get it to record the activity!! any one ouit there they can assist.

Try syncing over the USB cable to a computer with Garmin Express. If it does not help, try importing the corresponding FIT file manually. If you get an error, post the zipped file here, and a friendly fellow user may try to fix the broken file.

Thanks, sorry I should have mentioned that I’ve been having to update manually via usb. Which is ok but just won’t sync to phone. Now that I’ve got all the info on connect I maybtry and delete the files for the last 2 weeks to see whether there is a corrupted file!!

If you use an Android phone, you can also review the Device Sync Audit (at the bottom of GC app Menu » Settings) - there may be some clues about the reason of the failed OTA sync.

All sorted now thanks, it was a corrupt file, I could only identify it when pasting into a third party app!
