Map overlay data

In some activity types (not all), the ability to overlay data (heart rate, pace, etc.) on the track has disappeared. Version 5.5.0.23.
It has disappeared only in some activities - for example, there is an overlay in hiking and mountain biking, but it has disappeared in cross-country skiing.

I do not have any cross-country skiing activities, but the overlay was always available only at selected activity profiles. Garmin's website lists the profiles where the overlays are available as follows, and the cross-country skiing is indeed not among the supported activities, Are you sure it was there previously?

Absolutely sure. It definitely happened and I actively used it.

In that case, I recommend reaching out to the Product Support through their website at https://support.garmin.com, and reporting it to them.
