Sharing workouts - Garmin's seeming refusal to share workouts

Garmin has added that to Edge devices so it might come to the watches in the future.

Edge 1050 got it and the x40 models got it in a beta update.

Using Garmin Share

It is possible on Fenix / Epics. With firmware 18.09 beta the Garmin Share App came to Fenix / Epics:

Enduro 2, Quatix 7, and MARQ Gen 2 get the same firmware.

Sharing via the device. I haven’t seen the functionality through Connect.

Workouts can be also shared using the app Garmin Clipboard. And there is also a 3d party solution - a Chrome extension (e7andy knows the name and has a link, if I remember well)

Thanks. Do you know how I go about sharing on the device? Can't find anything in the manual.

Is it device to device sharing?

Seems bizarre that Garmin hasn't addressed this. There must be a reason that they haven't. Can't be difficult and has been requested for years. Curious about the reason.

They did offer the workouts sharing with the Clipboard app a few years ago

It is device to device sharing.
