Problem with recording data from wattmeter SRAM Quarq XX when riding by navigation

I have a problem with recording data from SRAM Quarq XX wattmeter. When riding by the navigation, no information from the wattmeter is saved.

If I import a map from a CSV file into the Garmin Connect, it also assigns the corresponding movement type - moutain bike. Once I choose to navigate by this map and save it after the activity is completed, I need to reassign the corresponding activity type to this activity. In addition, the log completely misses any records from the watmeter that was connected the whole time.
Do you have any recommendations on how to proceed?

  • Sounds to me as if you used the activity "Navigation" instead of "Cycling". That's the wrong way. Instead of it, simply select the "Cycling" activity profile, enter the menu, and select the respective course in the "Navigate" submenu of the cycling activity profile. Never use the standalone "Navigation" activity for anything that can be recorded in the standard way. It is useful only for example for navigation in the car, but should be avoided for walking, hiking, running, or cycling.

  • Thank you for your advice. It works!
