Running features on Venu 3 useful for speedwalking?

The Venu 3 includes running data/analytics such as:

  • Running dynamics
  • Running power
  • Cadence
  • Vertical oscillation and ratio

Can these features be used to help track/analyze someone walking (for instance) 5 MPH?  Or do they only strictly apply to running and would be of no value for fast walking?

  • I suggest that you try it and see for yourself, whether the information is of any use for you. It primarily depends whether you are able to analyze the data, and are able to make the right conclusions based on it. The same goes for the RD data at running - most people are happy that they have more graphs in their stats, but only bunch of them understands how to actually use the data for the improvements of their technique, or for following their progress.

BTW, the running dynamics from the wrist device will always be only very approximative. If you find the RD may be of interest for you, I highly recommend using the HRM-Pro strap instead. The accuracy is then much better.
