Strava live segments not showing on course imported from Strava

Hi all,

I'm not able to get Strava live segments to work on my courses created from Strava.

I have created a testing scenario to show you the issue.

First of all i've starred segments on Strava so they are synched to my garmin edge 840. I can see them when I navigate to training -> Strava live segments. The segment I'm testing with is:

Now I created the following route from scratch in Strava which runs over the segment

I Synch it to GC. I open the course but I don't see the segment highlited by the 'flag' symbols. 
When I check the route on my Garmin 840 I see the segment highlight by a green start en red stop sign. However when I start the route, the course points screen is not shown and also I don't see the segment popping-up when approaching it.
