Fenix 5s not syncing with iPhone 7 - iOS 15.8.2

My watch and phone are connected via Bluetooth because my notifications are coming through to my watch but my activities aren't syncing. I have iOS 15.8.2 so I can't download the latest version of the app. Any tips on how to sync my data from my watch to my phone?

When I click sync on either my watch or my phone Garmin Connect app it says 'transferring' for three hours at a time and then does nothing.

Why do you think so? I am on the same iOS version and have no problems getting the latest GC app version.

Did you try syncing over the USB cable to a computer with Garmin Express, or importing the activity file manually? That would reveal if there is a problem with the activity file, preventing the OTA syncing.

That’s good to know! Mine can’t update on the latest one because I can’t download iOS 16

Ah, in fact you are right, I also do not have the v5.3.2, only the v5.1.0.21, but that should not matter for the activity syncing anyway. Try syncing over the cable, or manually, and see whether you get some errors.

Install the Garmin Express program on your PC or Mac, and connect the watch with the computer over the USB cable.

If it does not help, try importing the corresponding FIT file manually. If you get an error, post the zipped file here, and a friendly fellow user may try to fix the broken file.
