The average is clearly wrong. This has been happening to me for weeks.

The average is clearly wrong.
No.
Keep in mind that this is a rolling average of the LAST 6 days.
The current day is NOT counted as it has not yet been completed.
So, its correct :
This is a recent change and I don't like it. If they were going to make changes to active calories I have other things I would prefer, like allowing me to easily see it on my home screen or on the watch itself, and set goals. Instead this silliness.
This is a recent change and I don't like it.
However, it always shows you the real average of the last few days, as only full days are taken into account. The old display was not consistent because you did not know how many calories would be added today.
I would prefer, like allowing me to easily see it on my home screen or on the watch itself
Easy to see in the 7-day section of the app.
It can also be seen in the calorie widget on my watch.
The old display was accurate in that it reflected 7, not 6, and it updated as the day went along and then was historically consistent for prior 7 day periods. I don't even know what I'm looking at anymore when I go back to prior weeks--7 or 6-day averages? I used this as a measure of daily activity that I set goals against. Now I cant. Btw what I shared was from the 7-day section of the app so not sure what you are referring to.
My watch only shows total calories, not active. This stupidly varies by watch as my Vivo shows it on the watch.
Historically still 7 day averages are reflected. For the current week it only counts the 6 previous days. Makes sense as the current day isn`t over.
You still can set goals based on this.
Due to this goofy change I can't monitor my progress toward the goal throughout the day. This is dumb. It's also not labeled correctly. The screen says 7 days, it's completely reasonable to assume that's what it is.
Like at the very least label it properly now that it's a 6-day average excluding the current day. IDK why Garmin *** with this instead of actually fixing something.
