But i' m following a training program by Greg.
Is there a way to implement these "training races" in my program without greg thinking i did nothing?

Greg "looks" at your performance of the workouts you do in the program. If you training races improves your peformance then Greg will "consider" that for future workouts.
You can't add your own workouts to the program.
