Instinct solar - sensors not working

Former Member

Hi,

My instinct solar has stopped recording data for body battery and stress. The connect app says to wear the device to record data - but no data is being logged.

I have performed a soft and hard reset but it hasn’t resolved this issue.

Is this a hardware fault or a settings issue please?

Many thanks.

  • Do you see the heart rate? Do you see green flashing/steady light on the back of the watch?

Hi, no it doesn't come on anymore.

  • Is it enabled in the settings?

Yes it is enabled. Which makes me think might have a hardware issue/simply broken. Hopefully not but feels likely.

Thanks for your thoughts and help btw, much appreciated.

  • First of all check whether the Battery Saver is not on. Then have a look into Settings » System » About, and scroll to the page with the version numbers of individual components. It should look like this one:

If you see 0,0 at the SNS version, the the firmware is bricked (possibly because it was powered down during an update). In such case I recommend reaching out to the Product Support.

Otherwise you can try hard-resetting the watch - sync, then press the Light button for some 30s till it completely shuts down (hold the button through the emergency alert, if it comes), wait little bit, and then restart. No worry, no data or settings will be lost with it. [more details]. If it does not help, try the master reset to factory defaults, and if still not OK, contact the Support.
