iOS 17.5

Updated my phone to iOS 17.5 today, and my watch will not connect to my phone in any way.  It doesn’t even connect when I try to sync it in the app for a new pair.  Things I’ve done so far -

- Reset both devices

- Unpaired and repaired the watch to the phone 

- Factory reset the watch

Starting to think this is definitely a phone problem since the watch connects just fine to my iPad that didn’t get an update.  More so just seeing if anyone else is having problems, and if they have found a fix that’s not the normal “disconnect, turn Bluetooth off and on, reset the devises”. I’ve done all that. 

  • thanks for sharing as I am considering installing this update - there are strong reasons to do so.

    what model of watch are you using? 

  • Long shot but any updates pending?

  • Thinking it’s a phone problem for sure. It won’t stay connected to any headphones or anything anymore. But also, my heart rate chest strap that I use won’t stay connected to my watch. I really think they both coincidentally went bad at the same time though. I think the garmin is the only device operational right now lol 

  • Update to my update, I had the watch connected to my iPad, I turned off Bluetooth on the iPad, and it seems to be staying connected just fine for now. Will update if this changes. It’s been back to normal for about 24 hours though. Thinking the iPad Bluetooth was overpowering the iPhone. 

  • I expect that is what it was then, I updated to 17.5 yesterday all went smoothly no unsyncing, I use a Vivoactive3 watch

  • I own an Epix Pro 2 and just updated iOS to 17.5.1 (iPhone 13): no problems to sync with Connect for the moment; but still got issues with tiles not showing some data (pulse ox, calories, etc.).

    The weird thing is when you tap the tile then you can see that the respective data has been recorded... Thinking

  • Hi, I updated my epix pro last version and I have iPhone 15 iOS 17.5.1

    The watch is restarting; I tried to reset the watch and now I can’t reload my profile or even create a new one! Clearly we have a bug!! 

    How can I solve this issue???
