Steps challenge stats don’t appear correct - maybe I’m just “challenged”

I had 16,686 on Saturday and 7,606 on Sunday but it says I had a total of “6,483” for the entire weekend in second place. Am I reading this incorrectly? 

This started after updating to the latest connect version (5.0) on ios.
