Garmin Connect Mobile Updated Home Page

It’s terrible.

  • I don’t like it at all. Would like to go back to the old format. Can’t find anything anymore. May go back to fitbit

  • I really hate the new home page , and I have been with Garmin for years and years like 3 watches…. Please go back to the old page it is pre user friendly, easy to see all stats.. new one absolutely sucks

  • The new interface is absolutely awful…. I liked the ond setup! Can we just go back to that?

  • I haven't used this forum much except to find out steps to set things on my watch or on my bike computer (Edge130plust), but I would wager that no other forum entry in the history of Garmin has ever had so so so many negative reviews. And yet, they do nothing. Can't admit a mistake, Garmin? Don't care about (what look like to be) hundreds of former customers? And if the survey data are correct, those who post a complaint represent somewhere around only 4% of those who are dissatisfied, but don't complain. And 91% of those who are silent never return to that business place (see:  https://www.marketconnectionsinc.com/dangerous-silent-cusomer/#:~:text=If%20this%20sounds%20familiar%20to,percent%20will%20simply%20never%20return. ). There are 66 pages of negative reviews; if each page has 10, that is 660 complaints. Some people posted more than once, so let's call that 500 upset users posting. How many are really upset? 12,500... Then there is the garmin connect app page, which has thousands of negative reviews... so another 50,000 upset users (on both the apple and android community). 50,000 people who won't by another garmin product (say a watch and a bike computer, totalling $600), and Garmin just lost $45 million dollars. Brilliant Garmin!

  • Let's assume for a second that your calculations are correct ... nothing more than a bump in the road. Quarterly and Annual Earnings | Garmin

I would think that with this move they have cut quite a bit of cost as they know have only one platform to manage. Quite important for a company as (human) resources are less and less avaialbe

I have asked the question a couple of times, but haven't got any satisfying answer so far: which device is at par with my Epix or could substitute a Forerunner? Of course there are other sport watches that will help me track my activities, but so far I haven't found any that are on the same level with Garmin. And even if I would be sooo angry about a website that I switch to something else: which other brand offers a much better platform for training data?

I'm an Apple Fanboy. I own an iPhone, iPad and an iMac. I had my hands on an Apple Ultra for a week. No match whatsover for my Epix. Plus the Apple Health App has more or less the same look and feel as the new Connect.

  • I understand how it is a small drop in the bucket... but it is a bit of a disappointment for so many.

I started looking at other platforms for my watch, but since it was laying around, I went back to a Seiko that is automatic (self winding) that I got (ready for this?) in 1978. Still works fine! And I have found that I do not miss checking my steps, my sleep, or my HRV, or my so called stress, etc. I realized that I was sort of glued to that information. But, when I felt no stres, it said I was stressed. When it said I slept well, I often felt like I didn't - and if I slept well, then the data said that I didn't... I mean: I did just fine without that before I got that toy.

If I go on a walk (not a runner) I can use strava on my phone. When I ride my bike, I'll still (for now) use my Edge130, but I've always had it dump the data to Strava. I'll likely go back to a timex ironman watch for swimming, because the swimming app nearly always missed laps...

Life is simpler now. I guess I am unplugged. Loool.

  • Couldn't agree more! I find myself often too absorbed with these kind of statistics that are based on dodgy algorithms. I'm quite fond of being able to look at a map as I quite often run and hike in areas which I'm not too familar with.

But maybe that is the lesson to learn here: stop looking at a website telling you how you feel ;-)

  • Yesterday can be added as follows. Tap on more… at the bottom of the screen. Then tap on settings followed by home settings. There is an option to turn on Yesterday (2nd option from the bottom of the list in iOS)

    1. I’m hating this new layout I don’t even want to wear it anymore. Can we go back please?!!!
  • Hating this layout and don’t want to even wear my Garmin anymore. Can we go bank?!
