Garmin Connect Mobile Updated Home Page

It’s terrible.

  • The data when you go into the tile is the same as the data when you used to go into the tile.  That shows all the information.  My point is the lack of information on the first page and how it is irritating now having to go into everything to get the data.

  • It’s not just one though is it.  I had all the data I use on the main screen and could see it all in one go.  I go into the app quite a few times over the course of the day.  Now to check each metric I have to go into everything to gather the information where as I didn’t before.  I’m clearly not the only one not happy with the changes. You might be happy with the extra effort to get the same information but everyone else isn’t.

  • While this does help a bit, it’s not really a “fix”, as the large tiles are still there and opening the app only shows the first 4 items. Previously I could see much more info without scrolling or tapping a stat.

Garmin still needs to revert this. Hopefully they do it before I find a buyer for my watch.

  • I do not use MFP. I can't say anything about that.

    but everyone else isn’t.

Even if there are some people here in the forum who complain, this is certainly not the majority of users worldwide. It is in the nature of a forum that people only post when they have complaints. People who don't have any problems are rarely on forums.
I have a few work colleagues and sports partners who get on very well with the new app. Just my two cents.

  • It isn’t just about looking bad! My just pulses a bunch of nothing even after a sync. My sleep score hasn’t been over 50 and my training readiness has stayed at 1 for 4 days straight. I do t believe that! Very disappointed in this new update but not sure what can be done about it.

  • The new layout is terrible. Who the *** designed this ?

Please give us back the old layout or at least the choice between both.

I wonder what the app update has to do with your data such as poor heart rate. It seems that some things are getting mixed up here. If your heart rate is bad, it is certainly not related to the app update. The app does not measure heart rate. The app only displays the data provided by your device.

If your data is not correct, you should look for the error on your device.

  •   Is there any other apps available that are non-Garmin Connect that will sync with the Garmin fitness watches we currently own?   Or is it time to get a new fitness watch?

  • Every other App that I know syncs with Garmin. Strava, Trainerroad, intervals.icu, Trainingpeaks, etc. etc.

Of course all of them require some kind of payment for premium functions and more detailed analysis of your data.
