Anyone have any experience with Suunto products? I am looking at the Suunto Race but I have only ever used Garmin and would like some input or thoughts on their products?
How ‘bout if Garmin outsources this project to a capable digital agency able to design with a focus on their global consumer-base and recognize and respect what was working all along. This has undeniably taken a toll on Garmin’s brand!
Yesterday I had 5 workouts - they took up the whole screen, I had to scroll to get to the "In Focus" section. Now that is just illogical. According to the Garmin website the 'In Focus 'section is where you put the data that you want to prioritize. You should not have to scroll to see that. The tiles are far too big with too much wasted space and so little data. When I asked one of the reps this morning if there was a way to change the size of the tiles or make them horizontal the answer was no, when I explained the situation described above the answer was - There is now more scrolling for more information. More scrolling, more swiping, more clicking to get to data that was readily available with one click is just not logical. Making it harder and more time consuming for customers to get to the data they want is just bad business.
Yup, agree 100%. I too chatted with someone from "support". Felt bad for them as they are getting all the flak while the real offenders hide in their caves,and management sits on their thrones. Just a complete S--t S--w.
I felt sorry for the individual I spoke with yesterday when my 7 day data was missing, she was polite and empathetic. Today, when I politely gave my feedback and expressed the same thoughts as I did in my post above the rep was almost hostile and rude with exclamation marks, I know it isn't their doing and I am sure they have been inundated with negative feedback but customer service right now should be at its highest level. I asked that my feedback be reported and to indicated that after the other areas that Garmin had failed it customers - naps, the poorest sleep tracking on the market (demonstrated by scientific research, and I know that no sleep tracking wearable is perfect, but my Oura ring can at least track when I am out of bed, outside letting my dog do its business while Garmin thinks I am in deep sleep), syncing issues with the updates, the change in the Home Screen thrust upon us was the last straw and I was leaving the Garmin ecosystem, I was thanked for choosing Garmin and the chat was ended abruptly.
When is MORE scrolling an improvement? Huge tiles take up too much room. Prefer the list view.
One of the worst updates to a well functioning app in the recent past. Of course, Garmin has been very helpful by providing information as to why the change was necessary and wonderful....Just kidding....nothing but crickets

As mentioned by @Alex_Ch, Garmin has advertised their new app. This just made reverting to the old interface harder for them if they ever decide to do so.
