Probably due to a reboot, firmware update, or a software crash. You could perhaps find out more precisely by looking at the files in the folders //GARMIN/Debug and //GARMIN/EVNTLOGS/ on the watch. The later folder is hidden, so you would have to enable hidden items in the file manager of your computer.
