Data showing in watch, but not uploading to Connect

Hi everyone,

I have a new Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar that's been working great until this week, when I installed the latest software update.

At first, it started recording sleep anytime I'd sit down and chill in the evening after ~9 PM.  That was annoying, but fixable.

Yesterday, I synced my device as usual and noticed that body battery wasn't showing on Connect.  Stress and heart rate were working fine, though.  Then, I went for a Garmin Coach run, which spazzed out in the last few seconds and restarted the watch (what I assume happened, since I saw the Fenix 7 screen appear right as I was about to finish my run).  Thankfully, the run was saved, but I noticed that afterwards, my prior heart rate, body battery, and stress only started recording post-run, despite still being shown on my watch (yet not uploading to Connect).

Since then, I've:

  • Restarted my watch numerous times
  • Deleted and re-uploaded my run via Garmin's Android File Transfer
    • Also deleted and tried to reupload my daily metrics the same way
  • Paired and unpaired my watch to Connect and my phone's Bluetooth multiple times
  • Tried to sync through Garmin Express
  • Called Garmin support

Nothing worked.  I had a similar issue with a Fenix 6 Pro Solar, too.

If anyone else is having the same issue, what did you do to fix it?  I'm attaching some pictures I took of Connect and the data on my watch for reference.

  • I've got this exact same issue,  ive got the garmin decent mk2s and I've had it for a long time, never had an issue until recently. I joined the beta in garmin connect so I thought it could be that, left the beta and still have the same issues.

    I've got an android phone.

  • I have the same issue and 2 attempts to fix it with the Garmin customer service yesterday did not work.  I recently accepted to join the Beta and turned it off yesterday but to no avail. I have an Iphone. I wonder if this is more widespread than we know?!

  • I forgot to mention I have the Venu3s

  • I'm on iOS like 2969101 but not on beta.  I joined beta when I got my 7, left because I heard it drains battery, and rejoined after the stress recording issue.  I also emailed Garmin Support because I read on Reddit that they could retroactively fix your data in Connect when it's working on your watch, but have never had them respond to any prior inquiries and haven't seen any changes/heard from them yet (I emailed them the same day I posted this thread).

I do think it's more widespread, though, since this is the 2nd or 3rd time it's happened to me.

    Tagging  too.

  • I had the same thing during some time of the night - heart rate and stress on watch but not in the app

  • Same issue here with golf scorecards. I can see on the watch but they are not being synced to the app. I've also tried using garmin express and the data is not synced that way.
