I'd tell it is some problem specific to you, hence they could not see any such problem. It works all right as it was before, for me. And likely for most others too, since there is no surge of new complaints. Although, there will be always some individuals among the millions of users, for whom the syncing stops for whatever reason.

Try resetting the watch, try syncing over the USB cable to a computer with Garmin Express. There are more troubleshooting steps described in the article Garmin Connect App: Device Is Paired but Not Connecting to App | Garmin Customer Support. If nothing helps, reach out to the product Support.

It would help others who will search the topic in future, if you described where the problem was.
