Forerunner 265S saved a HIIT workout as Multisport. I didn't even think 'Multisport' was an option with the 265S?

This morning I selected to record my workout as a HIIT activity, as I usually do. Though my Forerunner 265S, at the end of the workout saved it as a Multisport activity and now the recorded activity won't open on the App (crashes when I click on the activity on my phone) or watch ('Data for this activity cannot be loaded').

I didn't even think 'Multisport' was an option with the 265S? I have restarted my watch and I believe I'm up to date with software updates on phone and watch.

It is an option on your watch, along with several other Garmin Forerunner models - Activity Profile Options on Forerunner Watches | Garmin Customer Support

Forerunner 255, 265, 735XT, 745, 935, 945, 945 LTE, 955, 965.

You can try a manual upload of the activity to Garmin Connect Web - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?. See if you get any errors in uploading. Possible the activity is corrupt and require repairing by some means. Or post to this thread - Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

I've had this happen twice now in the past five days. Is Garmin looking into a problem with the latest software release?

It depends whether you or someone else reported it to the Support, and whether it was identified as a bug, or rather as a device or a usage problem.
