Network connection error when adding contacts

Hi,

I just set my kid up with Garmin Jr and a bounce watch (all good).  However, I want to connect with other families in my contact list (Find Friends).  I have to do this through Garmin Connect Mobile iOS.

I see all my contacts that are registered with Garmin Connect, but when I actually click the connect button, I get a "Network Connection Error".  This is one of the main reasons we chose a Garmin (to communicate with friends and cousins).

I am located in Canada and most of the contacts we have are based in the US.

I've attempted the following to resolve the issue:

1. restarted phone

2. signed out and signed back in

  • I get a "Network Connection Error".

    Try an alternative Internet connection - for example mobile data instead of Wi-Fi (or vice versa), or another Wi-Fi router, public access point,...

    Also, if you are using any VPN service, try disabling it. And oppositely if you use non, you can try one.
