Clicking on an activity factor inside body battery crashes Connect

Running Garmin Connect Mobile iOS v4.76.0.23 on iOS 17.3.1

When I go into the Body Battery widget and then look at the "Factors" for a day

I can click onto Sleep factors, and that opens correctly.

However if I try to click on a Activity factor Connect just crashes

This happens every time

  • To investigate this further, do we have permission to contact you via email?

  • I have this problem as well. But it happened also in the previous app version sometimes. Now it happens every time, indeed. What’s weird though is that if I swipe up on my phone the app is just there, like it never crashed!

I also have this problem since the update, where the information in body battery that appears when you tap and hold is empty. (The white box.. normally it was grey, I thought?)

Also the app is running very slow. I have to wait 3-5 minutes sometimes before the cards are visible, this never happened before updating either.

  • Do we have permission to contact you via email to investigate this further?

  • Yes of course!

I just noticed, when my phone enabled dark mode, the cards appear grey, like how they always appeared. And when I disable dark mode, the cards look like on my screenshot I’ve posted earlier today (white with missing data). I thought it was fixed, until I realised dark mode always automatically gets enabled at 11 in the evening.

This is also only happening in body battery. Like the app that crashes when you want to open an activity factor.

  • Yes, feel free to contact me.

  • Hi @garmin-sara , a few weeks ago we uploaded the screen records and I gave permission to look into my account. Then I’ve received an email that the problem was resolved. But not all problems that got introduced with 4.76 are fixed.

The little cards that you see when tapping and holding on a graph are still white and empty when the phone is NOT in darkmode, like on my previously posted screenshot in this thread. It’s still happening in body battery and in the sleep score graph.

Also in the sleep graph the little cards when you tap and hold say ‘not measurable’. While in connect WEB everything is displayed fine, so no “not measurable” on the cards that you get when you tap and hold on the graph.

    connect app:

connect web: (nothing wrong, everything was measured)

  • oh I forgot maybe a more import thing, clicking on an activity factor within body battery doesn’t crash the app anymore. But now I can’t open any factor, no sleep factor, no activity, not a falsely detected nap. So none of the factors I can open. I don’t know if it’s a beta problem, because I got access to the beta app a few days ago.

  • Almost all the reported bugs in this thread, are fixed with the new update, thank you!

The only thing that isn’t fixed is in the sleep score where I’m very briefly awake at night, it reports as non measurable in the GCM app, in Garmin Connect web it’s reported correctly as sleep.

But I’m super happy the tap and hold works again and that the activity factors open again.
