Garmin Pay card declined

I had to reset my instinct 2 solar, now I'm trying ta add again my card to Garmin pay, which was working perfectly fine before the reset, and I'm getting a "your card was declined, pleas contact your card issuer" So I called my bank and they are telling me that they don't understand why they are not able to enable the card. I think there may be a problem with Garmin side.
I already tried uninstalling the connect app, and nothing changed. How can I solve this? It was working perfectly fine before resetting the watch.

  • I was able to solve it by doing this: First I tried adding the card without sellecting any billing address, this was also declined, but after that, I tried again, this time completing the billing address fields, and it worked. Hope it works for you too

  • I have been using a CapitalOne card with Garmin Pay on my S62 for several years.  I had to reset my watch and phone due to an unrelated issue, and was getting a decline notification when re-setting up Garmin pay.  My card was declined.  I called CapOne and was told they no longer support Garmin Pay for "new" users but continue to accept it for ongoing users.  No notification of the decision was given....I've registered a complaint.  Even stranger, a few of the CapOne partner cards are still compatible (BJs, Bass Pro Shops, etc.).   I'm extremely disappointed, but it's a card issuer decision, not a Garmin issue.
