There is no Bluetooth functionality on the Forerunner 410, which is what the app needs to connect with a Garmin fitness device. The 410 only uses a USB ANT stick to upload activities to Garmin Connect Web.
If you upload activities to your account on Garmin Connect Web, you'll also see them on the Garmin Connect app on your phone if you're logged in with the same Garmin account.
