920XT Nordic Skiing shows up as "Cardio" in iOS app

My 920XT is set to nordic skiing. When it is uploaded to the iOS app, the title of the activity says "Nordic Ski" but the activity shows up as "Cardio" so there is no total mileage or similar statistics displayed or even listed in the statistics. I can change the activity back to nordic skiing (typically specifying skate or classic) manually to see all the data, but why is it changing the activity at all? And, more importantly, how can I get it to default to nordic ski?

    I also note that this is the case for the web version of Garmin connect.

    What activity type is it logged as in Garmin Connect? Note that the title doesn't matter. 

    I checked in my 920XT and there is no activity type Nordic Ski so you have probably created a custom activity and named it Nordic Ski.

    I think you're right. I most likely adapted the Cardio activity to become Nordic Ski. I seem to remember seeing miles displayed on the iOS Connect summary at one time so I never noticed it is the wrong activity.

    I ended up creating 3 new activities from "Other" as the activity. "Other" appears to show all the statistics, including distance, that I want displayed on the iOS app and the web version. My 3 new nordic activities were labeled as XC Skate, XC Classic, and Backcountry Ski. Even though these are just the titles, the Garmin app puts those terms into the titles, allowing me to easily search and find them.
