If you have no more access to the original mailbox, you should still be able to change the email address to a valid one, at Garmin | Account | Profile. If it does not work, for some reason, reach out to the Support, and ask them to change the email address for you. Then remove the watch from the new account, sign out, and then sign back into your old Garmin Connect account.
